In 1978, astronomers discovered asteroid 2100 Ra-Shalom.

The asteroid 2100 Ra-Shalom is a near-Earth object of the Aten group, and Eleanor Helin discovered it at the Palomar Observatory. It measures about 2.3 kilometers across and takes about 277 days to go once around the Sun.
