In 1997, Cassini-Huygens lifted off, a mission sent to study Saturn and its moons.
Cassini-Huygens is named after Giovanni Domenico Cassini and Christiaan Huygens, and NASA, the European Space Agency and the Italian Space Agency funded it. It lifted off on a Titan IV rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 40, weighing 5,712 kilograms. The mission ended on September 15, 2017.
