Did you know Clyde Tombaugh discovered Pluto in 1930 by comparing photos of the sky?

Pluto has been classed as a dwarf planet since 2006. Its moons include Charon, Nix and Hydra. The discovery was made at Lowell Observatory, and the name is credited to Venetia Burney.
