In 2006, New Horizons lifted off, the probe that later visited Pluto and Arrokoth.

New Horizons was built by the Applied Physics Laboratory and is operated by NASA. It flew on an Atlas V 551 from Cape Canaveral Space Launch Complex 41, as the first mission of the New Frontiers program.
