Delete your Pendi account
Pendi works without an account: your tasks and expenses live on your phone. If you created an account to share a space with your family or to use Pendi AI, here is how to delete it along with its data.
How to delete your account
There are two ways. The first, from the app itself, is the fastest.
Option 1. From the app (recommended)
Open Settings > Account > Delete account and confirm. The app deletes your account and the synced content of your spaces, and signs you out on the device. Available in the latest version of Pendi.
Option 2. By email (fallback)
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete Pendi account", from the email associated with your account (or stating the email or sign-in method you used).
- We confirm the request through the same channel.
- We delete the account and its data within 30 days at most.
Other things you can manage from the app
- A shared space: in Settings > Family > Spaces you can delete a space you created (removes its synced content) or leave one you joined.
- Local data: it lives only on your phone. Inside the app, Settings > Account > Erase the data on this device removes all of it in one action: it signs you out first so nothing downloads again, it does not delete your account, and it cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app also removes all of it. If you would rather delete in parts, you can, with the captured text under Settings > Movement detection, the sample data, and the contents of the Vault.
- The session: you can sign out in Settings > Account at any time.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (email or Google sign-in, or the anonymous session).
- The synced content of your shared spaces (that space's tasks, lists, budgets and movements).
- Your Personal-space backup, if you turned it on.
- The Pendi AI usage counter tied to the session.
What does not depend on the account
- Local data on your phone is not on our servers; you remove it from Settings > Account > Erase the data on this device, by uninstalling the app, or in parts from inside the app. If you turned the Personal-space backup on, that copy IS on our servers and account deletion removes it, as listed above.
- Crash diagnostics (Crashlytics) are kept separately, because they are what lets us fix defects. They contain no amounts, no merchants and no notification text, and they are not tied to your account, so deleting it does not change them. Google documents that it keeps them for 90 days and then starts removing them from live and backup systems (Privacy and Security in Firebase).
How long it takes
From the app, deletion is immediate: your account and the synced content of your spaces are removed the moment you confirm. By email, we reply to confirm the request and complete the deletion within 30 days at most.
